AUTHOR:
James M. Hunt DBA is Associate Professor of Management and the Charles E. McCarthy Family Term Chair holder at Babson College in Wellesley Massachusetts where he teaches management strategic human resource management and leadership at the graduate and executive education levels. James is also a faculty member of the Leadership and Influence Program at the Babson College School of Executive Education and is a Faculty Co-Director of the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program at Babson. He is co-author of The Coaching Manager: Developing Top Talent in Business (Sage Publications 2002). He has published in such periodicals as the Journal of Management Education Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship Journal of Innovation Management Consulting Psychology Journal Proceedings of the Academy of Management and Progress in Management Consulting. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management. James is also the founder of Hunt Associates a leadership development and strategic human resources consulting firm. Since 1990 Hunt Associates has provided executive coaching career development and consultation services to a number of businesses and not-for-profit organizations throughout the U.S. including Bose Corporation Children s Hospital Boston 3Com Genzyme and Stratus Computer. He also serves on the board of advisors of two human resource management consulting firms. James is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management.
Joseph R. Weintraub is Professor of Management at Babson College in Wellesley Massachusetts He is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist who focuses in the areas of individual and organizational effectiveness. He teaches and consults in the areas of leadership development team building coaching human resources and performance management. Dr. Weintraub is the Founder and Faculty Co-Director of the Babson Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program. His work on coaching has received several awards including the Management Development Paper of the Year from the Academy of Management. He is the co-author of the book The Coaching Manager: Developing Top Talent in Business (Sage Publications 2002). Dr. Weintraub is also president of Organizational Dimensions a management consulting and assessment firm based in Wellesley. His clients have included General Electric Bose MFS Allied Domecq and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
