What the Book is About?
Atlas of Temporal Bone: Applied Anatomy and Basic Surgical Procedures 2nd Edition sheds light upon the complex anatomical area of the temporal bone and the vital structures associated with it. This book aims to further the pathophysiological understanding of various diseases and surgical operations related to the temporal bone.
This Atlas makes the use of high-definition color photographs of dissected cadaveric temporal bone specimens, which are taken through the otomicroscope. The detailed anatomical photographs not just facilitate an understanding of the human temporal bone, but the common otological surgical procedures recorded in the photographs help readers visualize the surgical process. A brief review of the applied anatomy and steps of basic surgical procedures are present in the text, with illustrations added for better clarity.
