About the Book:

Managing patients is a team work which needs a different level of competency at different levels but knowledge of Electrocardiogram (ECG) reading is needed at every level. It’s a cheap and easily available investigation that has a pivotal role in diagnosing and managing several acute and chronic illnesses. Considering this need, Dr. Fawad Farooq has formulated this small booklet which will serve as a constant source of enhancing ECG reading skills for the reader in the future.

About the Author:

Dr. Fawad Farooq is an Interventional Cardiologist serving at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD). He completed his MBBS from Sindh Medical College in 1995 and then completed his FCPS in Cardiology in 2005. After that, he pursued training in Interventional Cardiology from NICVD and joined Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases as Senior Registrar in 2006. He served there till 2009 after which he joined NICVD as Senior Registrar. Currently, he works there as an Associate Professor of Cardiology.
